wednesday.

i have loved this day.
i was productive and got things done.
my kids at the boys and girls club were great and we did a fun project.
i had the best white chocolate mocha at starbucks this evening with friends.
i laughed in class today until i almost cried.
i was greeted by the sun this afternoon as i drove to work and almost had to roll my window down. almost.
i started re-reading revelations. i use to be scared to read this book of the bible. i've prayed about it and have decided to re-read through it again over the next month.
i ate a blt. i think that a blt can pretty much make any day better.

what a lovely wednesday.

weekend highlights.

1. this weekend started off with barnes and noble dwelling on friday afternoon. i got a lot of work done and felt accomplished.

2. friday night zach and i ate dinner with our married friends bentley and spencer. then we went to their house and talked and ate ice cream and played games and laughed at their cat. we like hanging out with them a lot.

3. during dinner friday night i got an update from my friend erica that she got engaged that evening. so fun! erica and i have been friends since the first day of kindergarten. i'm so glad that i'm still friends with people that i've known basically my whole life.

4. saturday was lazy day. we ate pizza, cheered on the hogs, watched mandolin youtube videos, drank coffee, stayed in sweat pants for most of the day, and enjoyed a day without class or work.

ps- i just really love weekends.

new goal: try to make myself enjoy running. this goal may be near impossible...but i'm willing to give it a try.

even though i'm kind of on the side that thinks that valentines day is just a ploy to get people to buy candy and cards for people on a special day each year, i just can't help but love it. i love the hearts, i love the flowers, and i especially love the candy.

i had a really great valentine this year who completely surprised me with a beautiful mandolin that i have been eyeing for a long time now. now i just have to learn how to play it. needless to say, nickel creek has taken over my ipod over the past few days.

this week will consist of reading stacks and stacks of children's books, creating lots of lesson plans, and preparing for midterms that will be here in only two short weeks. something tells me that i will be needing large doses of caffeine from here on out...

he's baaaaack.

old man winter has done it again.
this morning, to my udder surprise, i woke up to see everything blanketed in white. i knew there was a chance for snow but never did i dream that we would receive enough snow to turn russellville back into a winter wonderland! after making sure that classes were cancelled for the day, i made the executive decision to get a few more z's and enjoy this snow day properly.

while getting out and enjoying the snow is always fun, i decided to spend this day cooped up warm in my room with my coffee cup continuously full and getting caught up in the town of stars hollow with lorelai and rory gilmore.
